Was the Treaty of Versailles Fair?
The Treaty of Versailles was not fair because the Allied Powers put all the blame of the war on Germany. They blamed Germany on causing the war and made them rebuild and pay for everything that had been destroyed in the war. This caused Germany to have to pay $33 billion to the Allied Powers. The countries that attended the meeting to create this treaty did not invite Germany and made them follow all the new rules. Such as they could not improve their amount of army men and division, they had to give France the rights to their coal mines, and their army couldn't leave their country. Germany wound up losing power over their oversea possessions, and has to stop militarism in the Rhine River, which is on the border of Belgium and France. But everyone else that was involved in the war didn't have to pay the consequences that Germany payed.
